Kyle Elliott won a hard-fought split decision in an amateur boxing match last night. The fight took place at the Kerwin Boxing Club show at the Rideau Carleton Raceway. Kyle's opponent was a very tough fighter from the Kerwin club. The match featured a lot of heavy punches landed by both fighters. Kyle's heavy jab and sharp counterpunching earned him the decision.
There was a large turnout by Nomad members to support the show -- thanks to everyone who showed up.
Steve Lozanski and I did the coaching.
Rega Jihad was supposed to fight on the card, but his opponent pulled out a few hours before the match.
