Now this was truly and exciting event. This was Marie-Helene Pichette's first full-contact kickboxing match and it was being held in Lockport New York. M-H was fighting a hometown girl. It doesn't get any more exciting than this...

The fight was exciting from the get go. Neither fighter was willing to give an inch. There was no doubt that Marie-Helene was more of the finesse fighter, between the two, hitting the american with everything in her arsenal. In the end though...Marie-Helene didn't have enough to convince the judges that she deserved to win the contest and lost a split decision.

We were all incredibly proud of Marie-Helene and everyone who went down had a great time. Lots of laughs were shared on the trip down.
